CChP Friends and Partners Meeting – ALL

On Tuesday, March 11, the Meeting of Friends and Partners of the Chilean-Peruvian Chamber of Commerce AG de Comercio took place, an event sponsored by LMA | Lagos Maclean Abogados (ALL-Chile) and Torres y Torres Lara Abogados (ALL-Peru).

Entitled “Opportunities for expansion of the mining and energy industry through the synergy of the competitive advantages of Chile and Peru”, the meeting brought together more than one hundred businessmen and experts of the sector, to discuss the collaboration between both countries in these sectors.

The presentation of the event was made by Jaime de Orbegoso, president of the Chilean-Peruvian Chamber of Commerce AG and the presentations were made by leading experts.

Richard Araya Silva, Senior Technical Director in Mining, Energy and Construction at LMA, analyzed the prospects for growth and investment in the mining industry in Chile and the world, highlighting the key factors for the sustainable development of the sector.

Kenneth Maclean, LMA partner and developer of the Green Hydrogen Project, spoke on Decarbonization, mining & energy, addressing the role of green hydrogen in the energy transition and its impact on the industry.

Rafael Torres Morales and Bruno Vega Nuñez of Torres y Torres Lara Abogados, addressed the Business and Investment Opportunities between Peru and Chile and the Investment Roadmap of the mining and energy sector respectively.

key trends in mining and energy, investment opportunities and the impact of innovation, sustainability and cooperation on the development of the industry in the region were discussed. The collaboration between Chile and Peru and the importance of international cooperation for the growth of the sector were emphasized.
